SMALL FORMAT PRINTING

Short runs

Short runs often cause problems in lenticular printing due to high costs of file preparation and UV machine set-up. We strive to provide our clients with still affordable prices on all kinds of short runs in small format by combining different orders or printing on smaller sheets.

Short runs are mainly invitations, business cards, postcards, labels etc. Due to technological reasons such prints are usually run on 75 LPI lens – the most universal one. 75LPI allows for 3D as well as flip or animation effects. There are many ways of finishing – magnet, cardboard, corrugated cardboard, paper, adhesive paper backing, also die-cutting or double side print.

Lenticulars is always good solution when you need to tell the story

important

difference between digital short runs and short runs:

  • Another printing technologies. Digital is implemented on digital machines, and short runs on litho IV offset.
  • Digital has a slightly worse quality - so if quality is a priority, use the UV offset method

please beware

  • Finishing with white ink at the back is never 100% opaque. It needs to be considered especially when back side printing in CMYK. White paper (200 gsm) lamination is advised then.
